Q.) Who can access Microsoft Copilot at Haverford College?
All Haverford College students, faculty, and staff have limited access to use Microsoft Copilot through their Haverford user accounts.
Q.) What type of features are available with our Haverford Copilot access?
The Haverford College community can use Microsoft Copilot Chat, the Copilot web interface and Copilot in Microsoft Edge. We do not have access to the integration of Copilot inside other Microsoft applications. In addition, our Copilot instance does not allow users to search the Web.

Q.) How much can I use Copilot?
- Per Chat: 20–30 messages per chat. After that, Copilot requires you to start a new chat.
- Per Minute: Too many requests in quick succession can trigger rate limiting. The chatbot might ask you to slow down, or temporarily block new messages. Blocks can last more than 5 minutes.
- Daily: Approximately 200–300 total messages per day. Heavy usage can trigger temporary blackouts sooner.
Q.) Is my information secure using Copilot at Haverford?
When using Copilot with your Haverford account all data is protected by our Microsoft core services agreement. Chats are not reviewed by humans, are not used to train AI models, and are not shared outside Haverford College.
You may use internal and public data–but not confidential data in your chats. See the Haverford College Data Classification Policy for more details.
Q.) Is there any assistance with using Copilot at Haverford?
