Managing Group memberships from Google Workspace

The Owners of a Google Group (and possibly others depending on the group's settings) can make changes to group membership from within the Groups app in Google Workspace.

  2. click the name of a group
  3. on the left, click Members
  4. at the top, click Add members
  5. turn off Directly add members (on by default) by clicking the slider button
Note: If the button is blue, with the circle on the right side of the icon, the button is in the On position. When Off, the circle will be on the left and the button will be gray.
  6. enter the email addresses of the people to invite
  7. (Optional) to include an invitation message, fill out the Welcome message field
  8. click Send invites
  9. To manage invitations:
    1. on the left, click Pending members
    2. take one of the following actions:
      • to resend a single invitation, point to the invitation, then click Resend invitation (icon: a paper airplane)
      • to cancel a single invitation, point to the invitation, then click Cancel invitation (icon: a circled x)
      • to resend or cancel multiple invitations, check the boxes next to the invitations then, above the list on the right, then click either Resend invitation or Cancel invitation
