Clearing your Browser Cache/History
Clear Cache: Microsoft Internet Explorer 8.x
(or later)
Launch your Internet Explorer browser.
Click
Safety
on the menu toolbar at the top right of the browser.
Or click on
Tools
, then
Internet Options
, and finally
Delete in the Browsing History Section.
Click
Delete Browsing History...
from the drop-down menu.
Deselect
Preserve Favorites website data
.
Select Temporary Internet files, Cookies, and History.
Click
Delete
.
Close all browser windows and restart Internet Explorer.
Clear Cache:
Microsoft Edge
Go to 3 dots top-right.
Select
Settings
>
Privacy, search, and services.
Under
Clear browsing data
, select
Choose what to clear
.
Choose the types of data you want to clear. For example, you may want to remove browsing history and cookies but keep passwords and form fill data.
Select
Clear
.
Close all Microsoft Edge browser windows and reopen Microsoft Edge (this additional step is needed)
Clear Cache: Mozilla Firefox
Click the menu button (3 lines, top-right) and select
Settings.
Select the
Privacy & Security
panel.
In the
Cookies and Site Data
section, click
Clear Data
Remove the check mark in front of
Cookies and Site Data
.
With
Cached Web Content
check marked, click the
Clear
button.
Close the
Settings
page. Any changes you've made will automatically be saved.
Close all Firefox browser windows and reopen Firefox (this additional step is needed)
Clear Cache: Google Chrome
Click on the Chrome menu (3 dots, top-right) on the browser toolbar.
Select
More Tools
.
Select
Clear browsing data
.
A dialogue window will appear (and it will send you to Settings), providing you with a list of checkboxes for the types of information that you wish to have removed.
You can also set how far back in your browsers history you wish to have removed.
Once, you have selected the types of information you wish to remove, click
Clear browsing data
.
Clearing Cache: Mac Safari
From
History
dropdown menu, select
Clear History
In the
History
popup window, choose an option to clear history:
the last hour,
today
,
today and yesterday
,
all history
Click on the
Clear history
button
Close all instances of Safari, and relaunch a new Safari browser window.
