Virtual Private Network (VPN) Access

What Is It?

Virtual Private Network (VPN) creates a secure, encrypted connection, which can be thought of as a tunnel, between your computer and resources within your network security perimeter. Requesting permission to use the VPN will give you this access regardless of where you are.

Haverford students, faculty, and staff already have this access already. Non-Haverford guests will need to request it with the blue button link at right.

Who Is Eligible to Use It?

Students, faculty, and staff by default have access but Non-Haverford Guests have to request access

Where Can I Get It?

If you are a Haverford staff, faculty, or student you can visit here for instructions on installing VPN, as you will already have an account, as it uses your Haverford username and password for access.

If you are a non-Haverford guest, needing access to the VPN, please select the "Request VPN Access" button on this page, and fill out the request form so that we can create a user for you. Once you get a username from us, and create a password, you can then install the VPN client, found here

How Do I Use It?

Upon completion of your request, you will be able to access the VPN using software for Windows, macOS, iOS, or Android with no bandwidth. For a complete overview of VPNs and why they are useful, check this article.

How Much Does It Cost?

There is no fee associated with this service.
